#1 Don't use heat on your hair!! When you straighten or curl your hair, you're drying it out!! And blowdrying with high heat MELTS your hair! But if you really need to blowdry use a cooler setting and make sure it is not set on high.
#2 Don't wash your hair everyday! Washing your hair everyday causes it to get more oilier because your hair thinks you need more oil and its better for your hair to keep some of its nutrients. But that might be just for me cause my friend has super duper long hair and she washes it everyday. But I tend to wash it every other day and if it is really greasy I use dry shampoo. My favorite is Batiste!
#3 Deep condition your hair weekly.
#4 Massage your scalp. Massaging your scalp brings extra blood to your hair follicles so it pushes out new hair! I always forget to do this for some reason but when I do, do it I do it before I go to bed.
#5 Don't tie your hair the same way everyday! Your hair gets so used to that position and the hair tie pulls on the hair which can cause it to break so if you must tie it tie it low one day then high and then the middle and alternate!
#6 Comb your hair when its wet that way your hair doesn't snap and break!
#7 Not cutting your hair makes it grow longer! Hair normally grows 1/4 to 1/2 inches per month and if you trim your hair every 4 months or so you're just cutting off all the hard work you did so that was a waste! A lot of people with longer hair say they have not cut their hair in a long time! However if your ends are really dry and have split ends it is better to cut it! You're split ends will get worse and worse as it gets longer.
#8 Drink water, eat healthy foods, and exercise.
